Gorham Historical Society Facts

Founded:
The Gorham Historical Society was founded in 1968.

Facilities:
The Gorham Historical Society operates their archives out of their main location on School Street in town. They also maintain the Jim Eddy Homestead after they were willed the 72 acre piece of land in 2006. The conditions of the will called for the plot to remain undeveloped and to allow public access for the residents of the town of Gorham.

Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Society is to bring together those people interested in the history of the Town of Gorham and State of Maine and to collect and preserve ephemera and artifacts of the history of the town and its citizens so that people now and in the future will have resources to study their heritage.
